How to Massage a Headache Away
A headache can ruin a perfectly good day. It can make you irritable and, when it's bad enough, can make you downright nauseous. Here's how to relieve that pain in just a few simple steps.
1
Lay back and make yourself comfortable.
2
Too much light can make a headache worse. Turn down the lights.
3
Start by massaging around the ears. Putting your hands on the sides of your head, gently press down and begin massaging back and forth roughly an inch.
4
Pressing down gently on your temples with the pads of your fingers, make small circular motions.
5
Use this procedure also on the back of your neck, especially around the base of the skull.
6
Continue the procedure on your scalp until the whole head is covered. Try this on tense areas: Taking the skin between the thumb and forefinger, squeeze for roughly 15-20 seconds Let go for 10 seconds without removing your hand. Do this at least four times
